Underwater detectorist finds Stanley Cup Ring
By Webmaster | August 24, 2007
Early in August, Mark DesErmia was in the Gulf of Mexico, off the shores of Clearwater Pass, Fla. with an underwater metal detector when he detected a treasure that had been missing for over 30 years… a Stanley Cup ring belonging to former Toronto Maple Leaf right winger Jim Pappin. DesErmia said he’s been offered $20,000 for the ring but that he would gladly give it back to Pappin for a reward.
