About the Club
So what exactly is the Memphis Metal Detector Club? Read below and find out!
The Memphis Metal Detector Club was founded in 1987 by a small group of enthusiastic treasure hunters in the Memphis, Tennessee area. Today the club has around 50 active members who enjoy the hobby of metal detecting. Our members are a diverse group of detectorists with varying levels of expertise. Everyone from the beginning coin shooter to the experienced Civil War relic hunter can find fun and camaraderie at the Memphis Metal Detector Club!
Meetings begin at 7:00 and usually feature a “Finds of the Month” contest, Wheat-penny bingo, a door prize drawing and more.
The Memphis Metal Detector Club also sponsors two annual treasure hunts. Check out the Spring Hunt and Fall Hunt sections for more info.
