Fall Hunt
Each Fall the Memphis Metal Detector Club hosts an open hunt on the beach at John W. Kyle State Park, MS Hwy 315, Sardis, MS 38666.
The MMDC Annual Open Beach Hunt held at Sardis Lake, MS is a seeded silver coin and prize token hunt. The 2007 hunt included over 1200 silver coins of ninety percent silver variety, consisting of dime, quarter, halves and dollars, as well as prize tokens spread over four hunts.
Prizes included three new metal detectors, gold coins, and other nice hobby related prizes. There were also door prize drawings, split the pot, raffles on a non-seeded token and 1901 $5 Gold Coin plus other activities.
Thanks to everyon who participated in the 2007 hunt, and we’re looking forward to next year!
